Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS)

NAEMT & RCSE PHTLS teaches the student to identify and act quickly in the emergency management of the trauma victim. This program is endorsed by the Royal College of Surgeons in the UK & the National Association of EMT's in the USA. It emphasizes scene assessment, history, physical exam to systematically rule-out life threatening situations. The course lasts two days and the certificate lasts for four years.
