 As well as the correct C1 & D1 licence categories, Paramedics & Technicians need to complete a two
or three week training course in advanced 'blue light' driving. This qualification is awarded by EDEXCEL and is commonly called D2 training. Care assistants usually complete a one or two week course in advanced driving techniques commonly called D1 training. This should not be confused with the licence category above.
