This is the first part of the development towards HPC
Paramedic status. The course consists of 3 modules (D,E & F) and requires the student to complete theoretical and practical assessments set by the IHCD (now part of Edexcel). Full qualification as an IHCD Ambulance Technician is dependent on satisfactory completion of a one year probationary period for an NHS Ambulance Service Trust. A Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) or Disclosure Scotland
enhanced disclosure information will be required. There are continual assessments throughout the course. Applicants must hold a current UK
driving licence.
