The ALS course teaches the skills needed to manage cardiorespiratory arrest and peri-arrest situations
and to prepare members of a multi-disciplinary team to treat patients until transfer to a critical care area. The course is designed for health care professionals who would be expected to carry out the skills taught as part of their everyday duties. eg: A&E, CCU, HDU Nurses, Paramedics & Doctors. The course comprises of lectures, skill stations, a multi-choice paper before and after the training course and assessments. The course preparation material is sent out approximately 1 month before the course commences. Certification lasts for four years.
